Welcome to CKS, The National Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall here in Taipei!🏯🇹🇼 We woke up before sunrise to get the entire freedom square to ourselves and WOW...it was an absolute success as we had it all to ourselves (with the exception of a flock of birds flying above me for a good 10 min in this shot!) One of the very important reasons why my lovely mom & I were intrigued to visit Taipei was our love for nature and with the city surrounded by greenery, even amongst such grand man made structures such as the magnificent CKS, we were so excited to look around!
🌲🌸🎋🌼🌳🦋🌸🌲🌼🌿 Gardens with fruits hanging from terraces, orchids (my mom & my favorite flowers) peeking out from EVERYWHERE you turn, butterflies randomly landing on me while waiting at crosswalks, coy fish ponds next to street food vendors and even large banyan trees side by side skyscrapers...it’s incredible how the Taiwanese people have built the city around nature without disrupting it and actually respecting it! I’m so thankful to have the opportunity to visit this natural eco friendly green city in honor of my mom, Bita Nia and live the moments she was not able to in this gorgeous city to represent her Legacy! 👩👧💕Can’t wait to show you more of my @Bitajoonie inspired trip as this truly means everything to me. #BitaDiaries
