"Know that the LORD, He is God It is He who has made us, and not we ourselves We are His people and the sheep of His pasture." — Psalm 100:3
My phone started restarting by itself few days after purchase. Normally, I would have been troubled, but then, I recalled I have a 12 months warranty... what a relief! It means whatever technical issue I encounter on my phone during the period of a year, it's the manufacturing company's responsibility, not mine.
The book of Psalm 100:3 says "the Lord made us, and not we ourselves", which actually means He is our Creator. Then the Bible goes on to say "we are His People" hence, He is King over us — "and the sheep of His pasture" which implies that He is our Shepherd. Now these 3 characters of God conveyed by Psalm 100:3 points us to one fact that since God is our maker, our King and Shepherd, we are His responsibility, and He'd always do what's best for in accordance to His characters.
Doesn't it feel so good to know that the hands who made us also bled for us and even took responsibility for our wretchedness? If nothing, the work of the cross should reveal to us how head over heels God is in love with us. I mean, the maker of heaven and earth, who governs over every bit and pieces of events of the world — cares enough to see to our soul's wellbeing. Doesn't He have other important things to set His mind on other than a sinful people like us?— that the Bible says "God shows His love for us in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us" Rom 5:8. The Cross makes it crystal clear to us believers that we are God's responsibility, and it is the very reason why He has numbered the hair of our head, see Matt 10:30...and more so, the very reason He commands us to cast our cares on Him. See 1Pet 5:7.
