This stuff is like a magic mermaid hair potion in a bottle 😍 I took five drops each of lavender and rosemary and added it to my root to tip serum. Both help thicken, strengthen and improve growth of hair. Plus the root to tip serum moisturizes and softens hair

I use it in my hair (just a dime size amount) in the mornings and it’s excellent before blow drying or even scrunching into waves! With it being #mentalhealthawarenessmonth I wanted to pop in here to say, I see you all. I’m with you all. I have struggled with mental health for years. But one thing I do know is that, it does not define me. It does not mean I’m weak. It does not mean I can’t be successful, and a good mom. It does not mean I have a problem. .

It means I am HUMAN making it through the ups and downs of life! And life can be hard! But each day is a new day, and I can pick back up again and have a better day! I can make choices that help me feel better and happier. I can learn to love the true me, and know that I am beautiful and happy just the way God made me. Doesn’t mean I have a perfect, happy day, ever day, but I choose joy! I choose supplementing my body correctly, feeding my body good fuel, and staying active to keep my mind in check!! .

Research points towards the importance of values and reflective perspectives on life for steering one’s life in the desired direction and for staying on track while handling unexpected stressors that inevitable comes by in everyone’s life. 
Last weeks’ posts were about re-examining and ranking your top 10 values, what you actually are or could be doing to live according to them making you feel good, healthy and proud as well as how to make your values fit with your life and your vision for yourself. 
Another important step in reassuring that you live according to your values is to consider them in decision making by asking yourself:

This will also help you approach decision making with confidence and clarity, helping you feel sure that how you live your life is best for your current and future satisfaction. 
Making value-based choices is not always easy. Sometimes your values can point you in slightly different directions.

This is why it is important to rank your values and re-examine if this order and the related chosen action also would make you feel proud in the long run when you have a specific decision to make.

If you’re anything like me, your emotional attachment to food is fighting against your goals and it can feel like an uphill battle with self sabotage. (**Did you know that what you eat matters even more than fitness when it comes to reaching a weight loss goal??) If you already knew that, you’re a step ahead of where I was, because I worked out hard for a long time and saw minimal results… and it was all because I hadn’t cracked the nutrition code! (I’d actually heard that you can’t out-train a BAD DIET and nooowww I get it!!)
Here are 3 KEY things that have helped me gain control over my relationship with food: 💬Making Friends with Veggies 
I like the sound of “unlimited” more than “deprivation.” Ya know? Even the word makes me sad. I LOVE food, so limiting and depriving myself led to the dam inevitably breaking... and binging.  Instead, I turned my attention to foods I could eat without holding back… and that’s when I fell in love with veggies and all (YES, ALL) my favorite dips #guiltfree.* 💬 Carbs Can Still be Friends, too
It doesn’t have to be a weight loss curse word!  Gimme the comfort foods! Rather than excluding ALL CARBS (not in this house!!), I focused on less calorie-dense options… and always have choices!  I just swap out flour-based things with yummy substitutes like zoodles (zucchini noodles!)... spaghetti squash pasta… and have you tried cauliflower pizza crust?! It’s amazing! I NEVER feel like I’m missing out, ever! 💬 Stop the Rollercoaster, I’d like to get off
I discovered that living in extremes of “good days” (in other words: “STRICT”) and “bad days” just wasn’t sustainable.  In order to have a healthy, balanced relationship with food (and pass it along to my family!), I had to tell myself that life is about living, and not allowing food to dictate my self worth day-to-day.

SO!  Now, if I eat something “bad,” there’s no need to throw it all out the window and binge. The next time, I just have fun experimenting with an alternative! (there are so many healthier versions of treats nowadays!) I’ll leave the bun off my burger, but throw on ALL the fixings. Or choose diet tonic & gin. 😏🥂 #ultimateportionfix #healthyhabits #fitmom

I was always overweight and I tried unsuccessfully to lose that weight for years. Losing and gaining back 60 plus pounds was exhausting. I changed my mindset to I want to be healthy. One of my favourite things to eat is dumplings so when I saw that @elle_herself made a keto version I knew I had to try them. I was a little sceptic as I didn’t think they could possibly taste like the real deal but boy was I wrong these taste exactly like the pan fried pork dumplings that you buy. I am beyond impressed at how these turned out and they didn’t take long to make so that’s always a win for me

What’s your biggest downfall with your eating? We all have a bad habit or two that are just so hard to break. 
For me it was mindless eating while I made dinner. I used to munch away at the food I was preparing, having a ‘taste’ of this and that, eating half of the grated cheese for the kids etc, not even realising that I’d probably already had a good sized portion before I’d even sat down to eat my meal!! So instead of breaking the habit, I just changed it to a healtheir one. Now I try and have some chopped veggie sticks like carrots or capsicims, already to go while I’m making dinner.  That way I’m still getting that munching and snacking feeling, but what I’m eating is a lot less calorie dense and won’t spoil my meal or cause me to eat more than I need to.  It’s also a great way to get more vegetables into your diet without too much thought!

These cute little mini Lemon Tart’s are one of the latest healthy treats I’ve made this week.  The soft gooey cashew/ lemon filling is delicious, along with the almond and coconut crumb base. Perfect for a healthy after dinner sweet treat!

A study carried out in 2010 investigated the effects of sleep duration on body composition in people that maintain a moderate caloric deficit [1]. The researchers found that sleeping 8 hours per day results in more fat loss and muscle preservation when compared to sleeping only 5 hours per day.

The research found there to be a significant difference between the two groups results as the group that slept for 8 hours lost on average 50% more fat than the group sleeping for just 5 hours.

More recent research by Wang et al. supports that sleep restriction tends to negatively affect muscle preservation and fat loss while on a fat loss diet. [2]

So to conclude, getting an adequate amount of sleep is more importan than you think! Its best to aim for at least 7 hours and no more than 10! -

After very little sleep last night (meeting those deadlines baby! #procrastination) I was pretty sluggish at @bodyfit_fairfield today but just knuckled down and did what I could. Being sleep deprived meant i couldn't push as hard as u wouod like so kept the weights comfortable and turned up, which is the main thing, just turn up and do what feels good at the time, yoy cant smash everyday. .

It always shocks me how fast celery juice goes to work!

Lasagna Soup .

INGREDIENTS (for 6 servings)
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 onion, diced
3 cloves garlic, minced
2 tablespoons tomato paste
1 teaspoon dried basil
1 teaspoon dried oregano
28 oz crushed tomato (795 g)
6 cups vegetable broth (1.5 L)
⅓ cup green lentil, rinsed (50 g)
8 oz lasagna noodle, uncooked (225 g)
3 cups spinach (120 g)
fresh basil, cut chiffonade, for serving

PREPARATION
In a large pot, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Once the oil begins to shimmer, add the onion and cook for 3-4 minutes, until semi-translucent.
Add the garlic, tomato paste, basil, and oregano, and cook for 2-3 more minutes, or until the onions are translucent and herbs are fragrant.
Add the crushed tomatoes, vegetable broth, and lentils, and bring to a boil. Increase heat to medium-high and cook for 10 minutes or until lentils are halfway tender.
Break apart the lasagna noodles into about 2-inch-long (5-cm) pieces and add to the pot. Let the soup cook for another 10-15 minutes, or until the pasta is al dente and the lentils are tender.
Stir in the spinach and let wilt, then serve immediately.

Будьте внимательнее к своему организму, особенно если у вас регулярно бывают «непонятные» высыпания на коже, вздутия и тд.Действуйте методом исключения

It's been well over a year since I  did back to back intense workouts.  In all honesty, I've been afraid to push myself after all the injuries and set backs I've had.  Today I decided to just go for it.  I did the second workout.  I was exhausted and definitely was not going all that strong by the end, but completed both workouts! 
I was afraid to try because I didn't want to fail.  Even though it wasn't a big deal, even though I was the only one who would even know, I still didn't want to risk failure. However, I stepped up and faced down the fear.  And I couldn't be prouder!

How does the weekend go so fast?!? I swear you blink and it’s over. I’m doing a reset on my macros to  around 165c, 55f, 120p for a week or so and will be looking at my data to see what happens. I’m traveling at the end of the week and will have a bit of a macro challenge but I’ll share my struggles as well as my successes with you! 
Breakfast- French Toast bagel with cinnamon butter, berries and watermelon, egg whites with turkey sausage crumbles and low fat cheese, iced coffee with sugar free creamer 
Lunch- Salad with chicken, Greek yogurt jello bowl, peanut butter sandwich

Dinner- Pork loin, broccoli, crescent rolls with butter

Snacks- Bang Energy drink, pumpkin spice bread with cinnamon butter, & ice cream sandwich. The picture of the ice cream disappeared from my phone. Weird! My phone is old and I need a new one soon!

Ready to be empowered and prepared during the colder months this season? This is an easy and quick protocol I do for my kids if they are coughing, congested or feeling off respiratory wise. I use a very similar protocol as well but instead of immune support oils topically we use On Guard+ or the FLOOM capsule for me and my husband.

This was taken Friday, but I’m still feeling it. I ate plenty this weekend celebrating my best friend’s 30th birthday and visiting with my parents, but I’m still working out, resting when I need to, and balancing out high calorie, high fat food choices with low calorie, nutrient rich foods. I’m fitting in all my lowest weight clothes. I feel strong. Proud. Life is pretty good, y’all.
