It's a day late and I did it digitally because I'm a complete charlatan, but heres #inktober day 1: #ring "The Kailadh foothills are known to historians and academics particularly for their countless and well hidden hypogea, and uncharted miles of catacombs. Endless maze-like passages are riddled with shrines, chambers and artifacts of a bygone age.
A small but interesting discovery, was of a large antechamber in which the quietest and gentlest noise would echo almost endlessly, and the voices of archeologists would reverberate in an unnatural manner which could be felt in their own bones long after any conversation had ceased.
The antechamber was lined with massive and vacant sarcophagi which stood more than twice the height of any living man, each containing nothing but a single ring of purest quartz, a ring far too large for any human finger.
The quartz rings would catch the smallest glints of light and seemed to amplify it, and vibrated harmonically with the deepest of the archeologists inquisitive voices. It was found that when certain notes were sustained, the ring would hold the tone and vibrate so energetically it would generate a gentle warmth, and sustain an odd, sorrowful and undeniably sonorous tone that would carry almost indefinitely through the acoustics of the antechamber.
As interesting as the discovery may have been, it was quickly made to be forgotten, as giant humanoids have officially never existed according to the records of the historic colleges." #inktober2019 #inktoberday1 #art #fantasyart #fantasy #giant #nephilim #digital #dnd #dungeonsanddragons #digitalart #illustration #artist #fantasyartwork #krita #kritaart #illustagram #catacomb #hypogea #hypogeum #artifact #fiction
