Day 7 of the "Midwest Moto Tour". Started out at a leisurely pace and had a relaxed breakfast at a cute little, family-owned cafe. We did not start for Niagara until after 11am! It was pretty smooth riding and we found traffic only when we got to Niagara. Parking lots seemed really packed but somehow we got lucky when the kid at a lot that said "no motorcycles" let us park there for the price of one car! This was the professor's first time at the falls- and my second (second time in the same year!)- and so we spent some time looking and marveling- it was a pretty nice, warmish cool day to be out there, even with all our moto gear on. We finally made a move around 2:30 but decided to enter the US through Peace bridge into Buffalo instead of the bridge over Niagara because Google maps warned us about a hour long traffic jam that side! Zooming through Buffalo, soon were welcomed by mesmerizing rows of wind turbines for miles on end, on top of hills and farms- it was pretty, surreal and calming. We had our "lunch" at around 5:30 pm in Warsaw and since we were running out of daylight, decided to skip going up and down the finger lakes. We also stopped to grab a few shots of the gorgeous sunset that was behind us. Not paying attention to the name, we ended up at nightfall at the campsite called "Back Achers campsite" on Seneca Lake, to be greeted by a whole bunch of octogenarians! We did about 234 miles of relaxed riding today and tomorrow we go home. And it felt like we had just started the trip!
