#6: The 6️⃣th thing that makes me special is that I am a STRONG dog! 💪🏼 For all my IG friends here who also have #ivddsurgery , I’m sure you all can relate to how tough it is to lose movement in your legs, go through spinal surgery, and re-learn how to walk/poop/and be essentially be a dog again! I am very fortunate that I was able to recover from my surgery, which isn’t always the case, but regardless all of us #ivdd dogs have a will to live!
Take a look at my progress in the videos! From surgery, to not being able to walk, to now “hopping” around again! Of course I’ll never be back to normal (dad has to carry me up stairs/in the car), but I’m back to being a dog again and I’m so grateful for that.
My parents say this all the time, but with the right medical care, dogs can be extremely resilient and have a will to fight! 🥊 We encourage all our friends to get pet insurance—think of it as a monthly cell phone bill! Mom and dad didn’t have it and it was a ton of 💰 but we’re lucky we were able to do it. If you’re going to own a dog, know the responsibilities that come with ownership. We all deserve a chance to live another year, like me! ⭐️ Rooting for all my #ivddrecovery friends out there! 🙏🏽
Stay tuned for 5 tomorrow! Also what should my parents cook me for my birthday? 🥩🍦? Comment below and they’ll (most likely) make it for me!
