Paid collab with @sauconysverige. A lot of Swedes where running @lidingoloppet this weekend and I really felt like being a part of that running event this year. But as you know by now it wasn’t possible. I try to see my situation from a wider perspective and I know that I will think about this period as a short time of my running life. By having this way of thinking I get much more calm about my whole injury situation. I know I’ll be back running, the question is just when. Until then I’ll do my best to keep my heart in the very best condition and also my strength. Tell me, who ran a race this weekend? (Lidingöloppet, Berlin marathon or another race)? Reviewing splits with my coach 😜 I really wanted that long run workout to go perfectly. It didn’t go perfectly but it went well. It was hot and humid and by mile 9 that caught up to me. I’m still happy with how it went, I didn’t let it all unravel - and I really think even in slightly cooler weather I could have nailed it. I felt great for the first 9 but the last 3 were tough 🥵 All things considered: 12 miles at an 8:16 pace is something I can be proud of 🙌🏼 .

I don’t know if I would necessarily call this a recovery run from yesterday because my legs felt powerful not tired at all 💯I started with some strength training this morning then headed outside to run in this perfect weather! On the path today I bumped into a group of runners doing their Sunday training run and they were so kind to offer me some of their snacks/drinks 🤗! Thank you 😊 #sundayrunning #sundayrunday .

Snowdon you were beautifully brutal!! Thank you!

Bit of a late post as I fell asleep in my dinner last night after a beasting round @snowdonianationalpark completing the @trailevents.co trail ultra marathon.

The weather was horrific and I spent a lot of time slipping on my arse...some comedy falls coming down the mountains on wet muddy grass, thankfully no serious injuries! It was my first time running with poles and they were a life saver! They helped me keep my balance on slippery parts, take the pressure of my knees on the down hills and drove me up the hills......definitely recommend the @blackdiamond z-poles! 
Great race and mega chuffed to have completed it, definitely the hardest so far and great prep for @marathondessables ! Great to see the beautiful @roberts.sophie, bump and kids at the end, very emotional finish 😘

Após 20 dias sem correr no asfalto , esse foi o primeiro treino teste ,para descobrir se sentiria dor (fui com o fisio a tira colo 😊). Durante o treino não senti . Mas a mecânica ainda está na defensiva . Trabalhando a cabeça e corrigindo para não mancar . Agora é ver como ficarei no pós🙏. Treinar com ele é bom demais !! .

Lo logré!!! Casi no tengo palabras... casi que no lo puedo creer... el dolor en mis piernas me dice que si corrí, pero todavía me parece un sueño!!! Agradecida con Dios y con las personas que me rodean... familia y amigos... aquellos que me llenan de buena energía, que creen en mi, aquellas  personas que están en mi corazón y que me inspiran. Dedicado a mi abuelita, a mi mamá y a mis hermanos @catamcqueen y @setomo_89 ... parceros los amo demasidísimo!!! 🖤🖤🖤 Orgullosa de pertenecer a @aethosport Más que un grupo, una familia!!! Yay for trails!  Not so yay for my effort! Started out strong and tapered off after about 3 miles. I realized after finishing that it was quite a bit warmer than I thought.  And yes, you guessed it... hot and very humid. I sound like a broken record 🎶 😂 this summer I’ve made a concerted effort to do better with heat training and while it’s uncomfortable it has helped I think. So... a few little walk breaks and a sit down on the most awesome cedar log bridge that the amazing volunteers with @lakemcmurtryfriends put together a few weeks ago. It was so peaceful I wanted to linger a bit longer. Something so soothing and comforting about the natural noises of nature.

Por conta disso desisti de olhar o relógio e só quis completar o treino  curtindo esse clima, me permitindo, inclusive, a dar um PAUSE no km2 para essa foto.. So I have never ran 1 mile straight without stopping. Never had I done it in the treadmill or out in the street/tracks until this morning. It's utterly beautiful, especially at this early hour.
It's also a kick to be the only one here before the sun rises over that crater edge and to be starred at with such curiosity by the still groggy horses and cows that reside here. 
Later in the run, I'll often meet up with @mauiair and his lovely wife Trish, walking their handsome and intelligent German Shepherd, Rocky.
All in all ...a great way to start any day!

This training block has taught me a lot about how to train smart for a marathon. While I'm still not an experienced runner, I can see where many people before me have made mistakes, and where I also have made these mistakes despite the best advice.

Some mistakes that I thankfully did not make - though almost did last night - were running for the sake of mileage and underestimating the impact of rest and recovery.

For most of last week, I had convinced myself that because I needed a long run this week, I would have to run at night after my race. Another reason was that I really wanted to hit 200km for the month, which would have been a huge milestone and would mean that I averaged 50km per week for the month.

So dutifully, I waited till my dinner had digested a little, convinced myself that even though I'd PB'ed a 10km earlier that day, I was still feeling good enough for a run. So I got dressed for my run. 
I got as far as walking towards the gate when the little voice in my head thought "what are you doing? You could get injured - you're exhausted and that's when mistakes happen". So for the first time since I started running, I turned around while fully dressed for a run and marched myself back home.

The thoughts didn't stop there though - walking back home, the optimistic part of my brain piped up: "maybe I can run tomorrow morning - at least I'll have the sleep to rest". Well, as I lay here in bed that next morning, I can categorically say that I won't be running this morning as I am still exhausted.

Training smart is such an important part of achieving any goal - it's not talking silly risks and running just because you want to hit a number it's expecting your body to do something its never done before it's not appreciating that a day of rest and recovery is just as important as a day of running.

The saying goes "live to fight another day" - in this case, an appropriate adaptation is "train smart to run another day".

Parte 2

Puede llover, hacer sol, estar de noche, tener pereza, frío y ganas de dormir, pero si ya encontraron PLENITUD (post anterior). Ahora no queda nada más que tener DISCIPLINA este es un punto clave para lograr cualquier cosa. 
A que voy con todo esto? 
Desde el momento CERO que tienen claro su objetivo, meta o sueño.

1. Sean DISCIPLINADOS,escogiendo su entrenador.
Tómense el trabajo de buscar, quién es el mejor para ustedes. (Eso depende mucho de su personalidad),investiguen métodos de entrenamiento de varios. Así van a poder tomar la decisión correcta.

2. Si tienen hijos, casa, trabajo 🙋🏻‍♀️. Tengan DISCIPLINA y busquen organizar cada cosa que tienen que hacer.(Tareas de mi hijo, entrenar,arreglar la casa, entregar un informe) que esto no sea una excusa para no hacerlo. recuerden que si sienten plenitud los sacrificios también se pueden disfrutar.

3. DISCIPLINA cumpliendo cada día de entrenamiento, no veremos resultados si no hacemos lo que nos toca.

4. DISCIPLINA durante el entrenamiento. 
he escuchado esto: Entreno todos los días y no veo cambios. 
MI REFLEXIÓN: estoy entrenando de la forma correcta? Me estoy concentrando en el entrenamiento? mientras entreno estoy concentrado en algo más? por afán hago incompletos los entrenamientos? 
5. DISCIPLINA Con la alimentación. Esta parte así no lo parezca es clave para Lograr objetivos deportivos. 
6. DISCIPLINA Con el descanso. 
Si su meta es o no deportiva, poder dormir 8 horas al día es clave. “El descanso da la energía para hacer”

La disciplina, la van a lograr si nunca dejan de visualizar ese objetivo final. 
Ese fue mi secreto para terminar lesionada y con el pie muy hinchado esos 214k.
“Siempre me visualizaba cruzando la meta” entonces en ningún momento la opción fue parar, por el contrario siempre fue buscar TODAS las formas para controlar el dolor. 
Les confieso que en algún momento pensé “si el pie no me responde que hago?” auto respuesta 🤣:buscar unas muletas en el pueblo más cercano y seguir.🤷🏻‍♀️ #running #run #runner #runningmotivation #ultradistance #runninggirl

I was motivated by several individual’s who waved at me in their cars as they entered or left the area, but mostly through that of a Mother and her son who welcomed me each time we passed around the walking loop with a thumbs up + a smile. The boy nearly rushed to greet me with both each time we met each other again, in a hurry to share the happiness he felt the Joy just in being outside and able to run around. .

It’s very easy to take things so seriously. With running, I have a tendency to try and focus in on the goal alone. Typically this is an accomplishment of a hand full of miles in between my jobs or keeping a tempo speed during the course of a longer run. .

I think, especially when we’re lapsed for time, we do this in multiple aspects of our lives, before we ever acknowledge the gift. The gift of waking up today, having a running car or bike to get from point A to B, having a cup of coffee before a run, having two legs that can go the distance. .

What we should love about living isn’t accomplishing things but EXPERIENCING them. // @bymariandrew .

I hope to experience many more runs such as this and let the praise of being able to do so- whether that’s placing one foot in front of the other by walking, or running, for 15 minutes or 5 hours- overflow in the other things I have a tendency to take so seriously (because of my hurry to complete them instead of appreciate them.) .

I hope to make Joy in my life as contagious to other’s as the child’s I interacted with was for me this morning.

It’s very easy to take things so seriously. With running, I have a tendency to try and focus in on the goal alone. Typically this is an accomplishment of a hand full of miles in between my jobs or keeping a tempo speed during the course of a longer run. . I think, especially when we’re lapsed for time, we do this in multiple aspects of our lives, before we ever acknowledge the gift. The gift of waking up today, having a running car or bike to get from point A to B, having a cup of coffee before a run, having two legs that can go the distance. . What we should love about living isn’t accomplishing things but EXPERIENCING them. // @bymariandrew  . I hope to experience many more runs such as this and let the praise of being able to do so- whether that’s placing one foot in front of the other by walking, or running, for 15 minutes or 5 hours- overflow in the other things I have a tendency to take so seriously (because of my hurry to complete them instead of appreciate them.) . I hope to make Joy in my life as contagious to other’s as the child’s I interacted with was for me this morning.
