"Taylor’s Debaters has always been my little haven since my first day in this university. It’s given me invaluable opportunities to travel the world with some of the most phenomenal and talented people I’ve ever met, all while doing the one activity I’ve grown extremely fond of," shares Deepan Kumar, who was ranked 3rd Best Speaker in Asia at the recent Asian British Parliamentary Debating Championship in Yogyakarta, Indonesia.
3 teams consisting of our Taylorian students from Taylor's Debater's Club represented Malaysia and saw two teams reaching quarterfinals in the championship. Through it all, three individuals were awarded speaker's award.
David Benardy who was awarded 2nd Best Speaker in the English as Foreign Language Category also shared his experience: "Taylor's Debater's Club gave me the platform and continuous support in my debating career during my university life. We are the current powerhouse in the Malaysian and Asian debating scene and people should join our club as we are the club who can give you the best experience in debating."
